Transforming mindsets through connection and conversation
Based on more than two decades of research and implementation, Equimundo designs in-person programs that foster gender-equitable attitudes and behaviors among men and boysโwhile also promoting more inclusive, caring, and safe environments in schools, health centers, and workplaces.
Our programs are grounded in evidence-based, gender-transformative methodologies that spark critical reflection, emotional connection, and behavioral change. We specialize in creating engaging small-group experiencesโfacilitated by trained leadersโthat help participants question harmful gender norms, build empathy, and explore healthier forms of masculinity. These sessions include experiential activities, storytelling, role-play, and guided discussions that are rooted in lived realities.
When I visited the Bandebereho [Program P] intervention in Musanze [Rwanda] last month, I observed that transformation is possible to challenge gender dynamics at the household level.
Our In-Person Programs
Weโve co-developed and adapted in-person curricula with partners in more than 50 countries. Some are tailored for mixed-gender groups, while others are designed for boys and men only, depending on context and goals. Whether itโs adolescent boys in school, healthcare providers in clinics, or male employees in male-dominated industries, our tools are flexible and responsive to the needs of diverse audiences.
All of our core programs are open source and available onlineโfree for use and adaptation. We know that no single solution fits every context, and we work closely with partners to localize content and ensure it is relevant, culturally appropriate, and actionable. That might mean adjusting examples, reworking activities, or rethinking delivery methods to align with local languages, priorities, or systems.
Through our in-person programming, we aim not only to shift individual beliefs and behaviors but also to create ripple effects that transform broader systems and communities. Below are some examples of our curricula separated by age range and audience.
