This tip sheet provides recommendations for television writers and content creators on how to play a role in creating a gender equal, nonviolent future – and how to model vulnerability, connection, men’s caregiving, and respectful relationships, on and off screen. This guide offers writers a lens for writing stories that help to make caregiving and work-family caregiving challenges visible, reduce stigma, toss aside harmful stereotypes and tropes about people who provide and receive care, and point toward a future where care is valued and addressed in collective ways.

This guide was curated by Equimundo and informed by resources created together with the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, the Center for Scholars and Storytellers, Better Life Lab at New America, and Caring Across Generations.
