Masculinity, Violence Against Women, and Justice-Seeking in Nepal is the result of the second round of International Men and Gender Equality Survey (IMAGES) data collection in Nepal, marking one of very few instances where a single country has multiple rounds of IMAGES data, allowing us to explore changes over time. The final report, a partnership between Nepal-based research agency CREHPA, the Palladium Group, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, brings particular attention to social norms shaping masculinity as well as norms around justice seeking for women who experience intimate partner violence in Nepal. Drawing on a quantitative sample from two provinces as well as focus group data, the report offers guidance to future programs and policies aimed at transforming harmful gender norms and better serving survivors of violence in Nepal and the South Asia region.
