Global review by King’s Global Institute for Women’s Leadership and Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice with support from The Dad Shift, spanning 33 studies across 11 OECD countries, finds that well-paid, reserved leave for new fathers improves shared care, mothers’ employment, the gender pay gap and reduces relationship breakdowns. The report finds that for the UK, extending paternity leave to six weeks at 90% of earnings could generate an economic boost of close to £3 billion GBP a year.
