Além dos estereótipos de gênero, é um novo currículo para crianças de todos os gêneros, de 7 a 11 anos, na Inglaterra, que visa promover a igualdade de gênero e desafiar os estereótipos de gênero limitantes. O projeto é liderado por Limites de elevação, uma instituição de caridade sediada no Reino Unido, como parte do Iniciativa Global da Infância, que é coordenado por Equimundo: Centro de Masculinidades e Justiça Social, uma organização sem fins lucrativos sediada nos EUA.

This course is for KS2 teachers and teaching assistants.

Course Objectives:

1. Understand how children learn social expectations based on gender and recognise how gender intersects with other key identities.
2. Recognize gender stereotypes in wider society and how they limit access to opportunities, undermine diverse experiences, and impact mental health and wellbeing.
3. Recognize gender stereotypes in school contexts, understand their impact, and reflect on the role of the teacher in reinforcing or challenging gender stereotypes.
4. Understand how to engage with parents and carers to discuss gender stereotypes with their children.
5. Prepare to teach the accompanying lesson plans and supporting materials on gender stereotypes for Key Stage 2 pupils.
