Au-delà des stéréotypes de genre – Direction des écoles primaires et des écoles secondaires

Au-delà des stéréotypes de genre, est un nouveau programme destiné aux enfants de tous genres âgés de 7 à 11 ans en Angleterre, qui vise à promouvoir l'égalité des sexes et à remettre en question les stéréotypes sexistes limitants. Le projet est dirigé par Limites de levage, une organisation caritative basée au Royaume-Uni, dans le cadre du Initiative mondiale pour l'enfance, qui est coordonné par Equimundo : Centre pour les masculinités et la justice sociale, une organisation à but non lucratif basée aux États-Unis.

This course is intended for Senior Leadership and BGS Leads.

Course Objectives:

1. Understand how children learn social expectations based on gender and recognise how gender intersects with other key identities.
2. Recognize gender stereotypes in wider society and how they limit access to opportunities, undermine diverse experiences, and impact mental health and wellbeing.
3. Recognize gender stereotypes in school contexts, understand their impact, and reflect on the role of the teacher in reinforcing or challenging gender stereotypes.
4. Understand how to engage with parents and carers to discuss gender stereotypes with their children.
5. Understand how to support teachers in delivering the accompanying lesson plans and supporting materials on gender stereotypes for Key Stage 2 pupils.
