What's New in 2015 |
We’re excited to introduce Equimundo’s first newsletter of 2015 in a brand new format, following the redesign of our website to better highlight Equimundo’s work promoting gender equality and ending violence against women, children, and youth around the world. We hope this new interface makes it easier for you to explore and find out more about our global initiatives. Visit the site to read more updates, catch up on previous news, and use our e-mail sign-up to stay in the know!
In this issue, you’ll learn more about what our offices in the United States, Brazil, Portugal, and Rwanda have been working on in 2015. Activities include events on men and masculinities from Chile to New York, the launch of a program to prevent prenatal sex selection in Armenia, an international seminar on the benefits of paternity leave, work with healthcare providers in Nicaragua and Guatemala, and the launch of the MenCare campaign in Portugal.
In our featured interview, you’ll get to know Carlos Zuma, psychologist and co-founder of Instituto Noos, as he talks about his career and Instituto Noos’s work in preventing gender-based and family violence in Brazil.
Happy reading!
